Oppo N3 with 16MP motorised rotating camera launched in India for Rs. 42,990

Oppo today officially launched the Oppo N3 flagship smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs. 42,990. The smartphone was originally announced in October last year with a 16-megapixel motorised rotating camera sensor.
The Oppo N3 features a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution that makes 403ppi pixel density. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AA) chipset which is powering the smartphone with a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, Adreno 330 and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB internal storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 128GB.


Oppo has provided a 16-megapixel camera sensor on the N3 smartphone that has a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens on top with f/2.2 aperture. The camera sensor is specifically designed to result images of up to 64-megapixel resolution using a “super-sampling technique” that combines multiple low-resolution RAW images into an ultra-high resolution image.
The rear camera sensor additionally works as a front-facing selfie camera to let users easily take their self-portraits by moving it from the rear to front. The camera sensor can automatically rotate up to 206 degrees just by a tap on the screen.
Apart from high-end hardware, the Oppo N3 has some tweaks on the software front to enable users to capture greater details of an object. There are preloaded features such as double exposure and auto-panorama mode.
The Oppo N3 has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC and a microUSB port. There is a non-removable 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery pack and the company has provided Android 4.4 KitKat operating system along with its Color OS 2.0 skin on top.
